Description

Purpose of the Post. To provide efficient and effective administrative and technical support to the IT. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a high level of support to users. Liaising with users, you’ll respond to queries via the telephone and email in order to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues. Providing an excellent standard of service at all times, you’ll troubleshoot all problems in a swift manner and escalate any unresolved issues when required. You’ll patch and maintain customer systems to ensure the optimum performance and reliability of their IT networks. Additionally, you’ll support a wide range of IT devices, including workstations, servers, printers, routers, firewalls and switches. Interested? To be considered for this role, you will need: - At least two year’s experience in a similar IT role. - A third level qualification in a related subject. - A full driving licence. You must also have experience of the following: - Windows Server 2012 – 2016. - VMware ESXi 6.x and Windows Hyper-V. - Veeam Backup and Replication. - Cisco and SonicWALL firewalls and switching. - Wireless technology. - Windows 10 and Office 365 admin and management. As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll have excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills. You will also have a logical and analytical approach. Great time management and prioritisation abilities are also key.
