Our client, a Public Body based in Dublin City Centre is currently recruiting for an Insights Officer -Economic & Industry Analysis Officer. This is a contract opportunity for a period of 11 months. The salary for this position is €46,813 per annum. Role purpose : The role concentrates, on unlocking the growth potential of tourism in Ireland the use of evidence-based insights into tourists' attitudes and behaviours and the tourism's industry performance and developmental needs. Key responsibility areas: Help frame, design and develop surveys, questionnaires and other data gathering vehicles (qualitative & quantitative. Frame and deliver detailed briefing as required. Undertake appropriate desk research to support projects as required. Ensure that the appropriate amount of data is collected to achieve all agreed objectives. Analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative research data to identify pattern, solutions and insights that can be actioned by the teams. Analyse and interpret secondary source material to identify patterns and solutions. Specify outputs, timings and deliverables for each research/insight project. Manage a portfolio of annual and ad hoc consumer research, trade research and/or insight projects. Develop clear project specifications to ensure that the scope of the project, timelines and budget are all clearly defined and appropriate to the issues at hand. Monitor the quality and delivery of the project plans. Develop communications plan for projects considering range of outputs and messages or all audiences. Develop insightful research outputs either directly or working with external agency partners (e.g. research, advisory or design agencies. Develop and deliver presentations on findings at insight workshops. Translate data into meaningful digestible messages for a variety of audiences. Respond to internal and external queries and provide support for various research and insight projects. Ensure that the project deliverables meet the learnings needs of all relevant stakeholders. Required skills and competencies: A minimum professional qualification in one of the following specialisms: Consumer Research, Business Consultancy, Project Management, Statistics or a related area of expertise. A minimum of 5 years work experience within either: a consumer-driven organisation with a strong planning, brand and consumer focus, or a research agency/business advisory organisation or have similar work exposure. Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research techniques. Competent in Excel and PowerPoint to prepare professional presentations on research and survey results.
