Our client, a leading company in Sligo, is seeking to recruit a number of Change Control Specialists on an initial 6 month contract. Function/Objective. To fulfil plant administrative duties in order to ensure that an efficient and effective document and record management system is in place. Primary function. Change Control Specialist will provide document support to ensure site Product Transfers, R&D and other Plant Project commitments are met, while ensuring quality, technical and regulatory change control requirements are met. Also carry out all assigned activities to ensure that the plant documentation and record management system operates efficiently in compliance with Division Quality System requirements and recognized international standards. Environmental Health & Safety. Ensure Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards are met and all EHS procedures and guidelines are adhered to. Foster EHS awareness in the plant and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Reporting. The position reports to the Change Control Manager. Supervisory/Management Responsibility. No direct reports. Duties and Responsibilities. Ensure new / document updates meet the Quality requirements of its customers, external auditors and other external agencies by ensuring adherence to the required procedures. Review and process Change Plans, Design Plans, Design Change Request, and Document Change Requests in the Change Control Electronic Package Approval System (ePAS) Rule. Update and maintain the DMS (Document Management System. Update and maintain the ICS (Inventory Control System) with Item Masters for purchased and manufactured parts, BOMs, Routings, quality item masters and other fields within the ICS. Develop, track and update timelines for Change control processes. Timely reporting of progress including any issues/concerns to Manager as they arise. Report relevant information from projects back to the owner departments. Participate in project planning and updates as required. Adapt to changing requirements, while ensuring project commitments are met. Carry out specific tasks as delegated by Manager from time to time. Complete all activities in a safe manner ensuring that any potential safety issues and areas for improvement are highlighted to Manager. Ensure Environmental procedures e.g. recycling, waste minimization are adhered to and improvements made where possible. Ensure documents are written, approved and implemented into the site document system to support execution of plant wide projects. Coordinate input from relevant areas/activities in support of project goals. Capable of working in a technical atmosphere with limited supervision. Issue new and revised documentation efficiently, updating DMS, ICS, ETMS (training system), and Action Item Database where required. Maintenance of the documentation notification system in DMS. Maintain and update an orderly filing system for all Master and History documents, logs in the area, and Signature authority designation. Interpersonal Skills. Good communication/team skills are essential for the position. This is required for: Interface to internal customers at all levels. Delivery of training. Initiate open, honest and beneficial working relationships with other team members, ensuring overall team effectiveness. Education. Minimum is Leaving Certificate or equivalent and/or Secretarial Course/Business Studies/IT, as this will provide the foundation to build the required skills for the position. Previous experience of SAP preferable but not essential. Good knowledge of word processing/software. Work experience that shows a foundation knowledge in documentation, attention to detail and a disciplined & structured approach to work. To provide the basic understanding in the technology, analytical skills and scientific principles, a Third Level qualification in Science or in a relevant quality discipline would be desirable. Functional knowledge of manufacturing operations and systems would be desirable. Experience/Background. Good attention to detail. Good organizational skills. Good communication abilities. Ability to set and meet deadlines. Good computer skills including learning new software applications quickly. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and changes in priorities.
