Senior Language Quality Specialist
The Role. Language Quality Specialists are involved in all aspects of coordinating the language function in a multiple language vendor environment. The team ensures delivery of cost efficient and quality driven language function by understanding the needs and expectations of our clients. Main Duties & Responsibilities. • Leading a small internal team of LQS. • Responsibility for Program quality. • Supplier training, on boarding and tools support. • Quality risk assessment and prevention, planning, monitoring and management. • Terminology management, creation and maintenance of reference materials. • Query Management. • LQA and TQA recommendations, handling and rebuttals. • Client language review feedback handling and rebuttals. • Initiating quality improvement plans and off boarding decisions. • Test translations. • Source content analysis. • Creation of test translation kits. Requirements. • 5 years + Language experience in the localisation industry. • Degree or Masters in translation. • Fluent English plus 1-2 additional languages. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Problem solver. • Expert knowledge of standard CAT packages (Trados, XTM ,SDLX , Catalyst ) • Time management, organizational and prioritisation skills. • Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. • People management experience. • Solid understanding of how quality management feeds into client satisfaction and delivery targets. • Solid understanding of quality in the context of business needs.
