Our client a 4* Hotel based in Kilkenny currently have a job available for a Deputy General Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the GM, you will be responsible for all operational departments, providing guests with a quality service whilst maximising profitability through sales and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Hotel Assistant Manager / Duty Manager in a similar size or larger property ideally with Food & Beverage experience. Main Duties: To work in conjunction with the General Manager to develop a strategic business plan for the hotel. To ensure all items on the current business plan are implemented and followed through. To ensure the necessary support is given to the Department Managers and Supervisors when needed. To ensure Revenue is maximised throughout the hotel, through efficient yield, upselling and revenue management. To ensure all revenue is accounted for through the proper accounting procedures. To work with the HR Manager to ensure all HR policies and procedures are implemented per the staff handbook. To work with the General Manager to ensure a training plan is in place and that relevant training is taking place in the hotel on a continual basis. To ensure all employment legislation is adhered to. To implement standards of performance in all areas of the hotel and to ensure all procedures are documented.
