My client a multi-national within the Insurance sector currently have a requirement for a qualified accountant on a permanent basis . You will have full ownership for all financial and management reporting for a number of legal entities. You will be responsible for all areas of finance on a day to day basis and be involved in presenting key finance information to senior management. RESPONSIBILITIES. •Development of accounting and reporting practices within the group. •Reporting under Pillar 3- Support implementation of reporting applications by testing etc. •Prepare monthly management accounts on a US GAAP basis and prepare and present board packs to senior management. •Perform detailed reconciliation’s for both balance sheet and profit and loss. •Management of inter- company balances etc. •Prepare IFRS financial statements on an annual basis. •Management of audit and all queries. •Working on key finance projects within finance. REQUIREMENTS. •Qualified accountant ideally with an Insurance or Financial services background – will also consider a qualified accountant from practice wanting to get into the financial accounting area. •Strong IFRS or Gaap Experience. •Exposure to SAP or Oracle and strong excel skills and month end accounting.
