Electrical Trainer / Tutor. Role type: Permanent Position. Role location: Monaghan. FRS Recruitment are working with an industry leader to recruit an experienced electrical trainer who has the knowledge and experience to teach and assess our clients new field based electrical teams. You will be training experienced electricians and will receive extensive training to aid in your development of training plans. You will have good people skills and help design and training through practical workshops as well as theory-based workshops and assessments. Your Main Responsibilities will involve: * Deliver and teach courses for experienced electricians. * Effective curriculum and lesson planning which meets individual needs is essential. * Assist in producing training plans and schedules. * Carry out instructor led theory and practical training. * Delivery of training activities within the technical environment. * Carry out trainee assessments / tests. * Facilitate trainee feedback at the end of a training course. * Safety of employees, visitors and learners. * Leading by example deliver the value of zero accidents and excellent Customer Service. * Take ownership and responsibility for suitability of equipment in the Training. Section and maintain a safe and healthy training environment. Qualifications Desirable: * Applicants must have a good standard of education. * Fully qualified electrician with five years' experience within the industry. * Junior Cert / Leaving Cert (level 4 or 5), GCSE in Maths & English. * Level 6 NFQ or equivalent, full 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Part P qualifications. Other electrical qualifications at JIB Standard, NVQ Level 3 or their equivalents. ECS card and Testing & Inspection are desirable. * Previous Experience as an Electrical Tutor / Electrical Trainer is desirable. Skills and Competencies: * You will have significant experience in the Electrical industry. * An engaging personality and teaching style. * Ability to build strong rapport with electricians, students and establish trusting relationships. * Good Practical and Classroom Management Skills. * Excellent organisational skills, the ability to get your message across effectively and influence people at all levels. * Demonstrate occupational competence in the areas of Electrical Installation for which they are delivering training and / or assessment. This competence must be at a level equal to, or above, the level of training being delivered and must include current knowledge, its techniques, settings, legislative and regulatory requirements, codes of practice and guidance. * Excellent attention to detail. * Ability to work without supervision. * Strong prioritisation and organisational skills. * Excellent communication skills. Other Qualities: * Team player with a positive, 'can do' attitude in a company with implementation time pressures. * Willing to pass on the knowledge you have learnt to electricians. * Happy to work as part of a team plus working on your own initiative. * Setting a standard of excellence and lead by example. * A willingness to continue self-development. * Ability to build and maintain relationships with the team and stakeholders at all levels. * Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a demanding environment. * An understanding that the secret of great teaching is you always do your best for your learners.
