We are seeking a Financial Accountant for a maternity contract with a Listowel based client. The successful candidate must have relevant experience so they can work independently in the role. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant principal duties and responsibilities will include: Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and cashflow statements, and provide detailed analysis of same. Assist with month end processes/procedures. Preparation of monthly and bi-weekly payroll including the posting of month end payroll journals. Maintenance of purchase order system. Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Preparation of VAT returns and other filings. Assist in maintenance of fixed asset register. Assist with Audits. Compliance with internal financial protocols. Compiling reports / statistics to government or regulatory agencies. Other Ad Hoc duties as required. Candidate profile: A qualified Accountant. Monthly Accounts preparation experience. Payroll experience an advantage. Proficient in the use of MS Excel. Strong IT, communication skills and attention to detail ability. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Team player with an ability to work on own initiative. Immediate start for the successful candidate.
