A Quality Technician / Inspector is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our West Cork based manufacturing client to inspect sub assemblies and finished product according to sampling and quality standards. THE ROLE: * Ensure work is performed in accordance with the requirements of sites ISO 9001 based quality management system including adhering to appropriate policies and procedures. * Complete tasks as assigned by the Quality Engineer that may be required to improve process performance. * Participate in and engage with Internal and External Audit program as required. * Examine all manufactured products, to ensure they meet all specifications. * Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria. * Collect and record accurate data regarding defects. * Provide description or justification for defective material. * Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, and supervisors. REQUIREMENTS: * 1 years experience in a quality role in a manufacturing operation - ideally within a mechanical / electronic assembly environment. * Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of performing to a high level with energy, and have a strong ability to communicate effectively. * Computer literate - must have the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel & related software applications.
