Description

Box Office Manager. The Box Office Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of all aspects of the provision of box offices to both full time client venues and one off events across the island of Ireland. The role has responsibility for overseeing the sale and collection of all tickets on site, maintaining a pool of reliable , well trained, part time staff (20-40)accounting for transactions and ensuring the security of money exchanged between the Fan and the venue or event. The Box Office Manager will ensure that the customer service is provided to the highest standard and that the companies cash and ticket handling procedures are strictly adhered to. Responsibilities: Operational. Managing, maintaining and evaluating a pool of casual and part time staff who are adequately trained and fully compliant with all company ticket sales and cash handling policies. Liaising with event organisers and venue owners while delivering on site box office services. ensuring box offices are adequately staffed, stocked and presented. Financial. Monitoring cash handling and ticket reconciliation procedures. Completing and distributing staff rotas and providing finance team with payroll information. Monitoring floats, scheduling cash and collections and deliveries and collecting lodgements from venues and reconciling same in a timely fashion. Strategic. Developing additional , relevant accounting controls to keep up to date with changing businesses processes. Ensure PCI compliance of Box Office and ongoing training and development of Box Office Staff as new policies are implemented. Other. Primary point of contact for all Box Office queries and issues. Liaison with external and internal auditors as queries arise. Client relationship building, strengthening. Complete and oversee requests as required. Skills. Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel and bespoke computerised systems. Understanding of the ticketing/entertainment industry. Full clean driving licence. Cash management experience. Previous Management of part time staff a distinct advantage. Person. A well presented individual who is responsible , dependable and trustworthy. Good conflict resolution skills. Always looking to proactively improve procedure. Excellent planning and organisational skills. The ability to deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information. Effective communication skills. Passionate for the brand. This job will be based in Dublin 2, however additional time is required to meet business requirements, flexible working hours required. Benefit package on top of salary. It would be preferable that the suitable candidate drives. Previous cash management / staff management experience is required, min 4yrs relevant experience.
