The job requires the electrical Manufacturing supervisor to provide day to day manufacturing services in a busy high speed manufacturing environment. The candidate shall be responsible for the performance and overall manufacturing & testing of control system hardware panels and electrical control panels. The candidate shall be required to ensure standards of manufacture are in line with business strategies & goals. You will be required to Maintain high quality of workmanship and standards throughout the team. The candidate should be able to multi task and solve problems that arise on site. The job requires these problems to be resolved quickly and efficient. The candidate will be required to ensure manufacturing component stock levels are continually determined and maintained. The candidate shall always be responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date manufacturing documentation. Ensure that manufacturing works are executed efficiently, effectively, safely, in line with internal & customer standards & requirements. Assist the engineering Manager/Lead to plan work activities to maximize production schedules. Shall provide daily support & leadership to the team of manufacturing technicians within the control system manufacturing workshop. Ideally will be competent at using PLCs for as part of the hardware testing processes. The successful candidate shall possess: At least 7 years’ trade experience as an Electrician/Supervisor working in an environment with control system hardware. Shall provide key engineering support to a busy production & design department. Knowledge of ATEX regulations is an advantage but not essential. Knowledge of applicable IEC Standards & regulations is essential. Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills are essential for this job. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Must be able to multi task and have a proven track record. Must be a team player and a good problem solver. PLC / Controller experience (programming an advantage. Have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications excel, word etc. National Craft Senior Trades Electrician Qualification is essential or equivalent. You must be flexible in this position and be prepared to undertake other work that may be assigned to you from time to time, which may be outside the area of your normal duties.
