Experienced Paediatric Nurses required across the Medical & Surgical Wards, Theatre, PICU & Emergency departments of CHI - Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, Dublin. Permanent Full-time – Dublin City Centre. INTERVIEWS BEING HELD VIA SKYPE EACH MONTH. KCR in affiliation with CHI - Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, Dublin currently have opportunities for nurses to join the acute paediatric hospital which cares for approximately 150,000 children from across Ireland per year. THE HOSPITAL. Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, originally founded in 1872, is located in Irelands Capital City, Dublin. The hospital is a national acute paediatric hospital. With a staff of 95 consultants and over 950 others (comprising of nursing, paramedical and support staff) it delivers outstanding care to the children & families requiring their care. Temple Street cares for over 150,000 children per yearincluding 45,000 who attend the emergency department, making it one of the busiest in Europe. Temple Street Children’s Hospital is the national centre for: Paediatric Neurology. Paediatric Renal, Dialysis & Kidney Transplants. Paediatric Orthopaedics. Neurosurgery & the removal of brain tumours (under the age of 6 years. Paediatric ENT. Inherited Metabolic Disorders. Paediatric Plastic Surgery. Neonatal & Paediatric Surgery. Temple Street Children’s University Hospital will be shortly joining, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin, the National Children’s Hospital at Tallaght Hospital & the National Children’s Hospital at Connolly Hospital to form Ireland's New Children's Hospital. The new children’s hospital will be a state of the art, digital facility located in Dublin to look after children and young people from all over Ireland. The hospitals above will merge to form the Children’s Hospital Group. All four hospitals are currently recruiting paediatric staff nurses for all specialties. The new hospital will have state-of-the-art operating theatres, including specialised theatres for heart surgery, neurosurgery and orthopaedics. The theatre areas will have dedicated rooms for emergency and general surgical procedures, as well as, interventional theatres. These facilities will be well positioned to adapt to predicted developments in radiology and other surgical advancements. The theatre will have an MRI scanner for scans during operations so children undergoing surgery can have highly specialised imaging during their surgery, greatly helping surgeons.
