The successful candidate will be a key member of the laboratory team, which involves collaborating with other departments through cross-functional teams towards achieving common goals. The main function of this role is to develop a strong technical knowledge of Chemical formulations and provide the relevant technical support through cross-functional teamwork, to the various support functions in relation to the following areas: New Product Development (NPD) process. New Process Introduction (NPI) process. Investigating Product/Formulation quality issues. RESPONSIBILITIES. To develop a comprehensive knowledge off all formulations. Monitor future agrochemical technologies and trends. Develop expertise in the area of physical and chemical properties of products/formulations, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Identify and implement targeted formulation training for relevant personnel. Provide technical advice on our products and various formulation types. To become a key member of the New Product Development team, coordinating and monitoring the development of optimum formulation chemistry packages for NPD projects in line with project timelines. Sharing formulation knowledge with the NPD team. Build good relationships with external formulations experts, ensuring the timely development of new formulations. Commissioning stability studies for new products with external contract labs. Sourcing co-formulants to prepare lab scale formulation. Developing and validating Methods of Analysis, as required. Analytical testing of formulations, mainly HPLC & GC. Co-ordinate and monitor the introduction of NPD products into the plant through the NPI process, ensuring commercial timelines are met. Work closely with the quality team to investigate product quality issues/customer complaints, ensuring preventative actions are in place to eliminate reoccurrence. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & CRITERIA. Skills and experience: Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Essential Qualifications: A Bachelors degree, ideally in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related Science discipline. Essential Criteria: Excellent Communication and people skills. Good project management skills. Positive attitude. Strong organisational skills. Ability to work in cross-functional environments, as well as independently. A proactive approach to problem-solving.
