Description. Our client are looking to fulfil the role of Director of Architecture within our city centre offices, located beside the Dart. The firm is Multi-disciplinary with high end projects on offer, both in planning and on site. Their projects include large residential schemes, hotels, nursing homes, commercial retail and office and even one off high end bespoke houses. They work all over the country but predominantly on the east costs / Greater Dublin Area. This role is offering a very competitive package including the rights to become a Company Director to run the firm at management level and at Board level with the CEO (if the candidate so wishes). Remuneration package includes a highly competitive market salary, bonus paid twice yearly, pension, life insurance, generous annual leave, and, all professional fees. This is a client facing role and there is enormous potential for you to reshape and grow this section of the company under your direction supported by a good team of professionals. Our client a multi‐disciplinary practice of Registered Architects, Chartered Town Planners, and Project Managers. They are working on various developments from bespoke one-off houses to award winning infill schemes to large residential schemes of 1500 units plus. They are also working on commercial schemes from retail, industrial and office developments to hotels etc. They have a huge mix of work from initial site feasibilities through to planning permission procurement, to tender stage and then to on-site supervision. They are working on a considerable number of schemes both in planning and on site. Therefore, they are looking for a highly motivated person to fill this exciting role who is hardworking and commercially orientated to join the company at the highest level. It may suit someone running a smaller practice and there is opportunity to merge the two ends both in practice and operation. They are an open minded commercially driven company who seek high achievers to grow more in a similar environment of like-minded driven professionals. Director of Architecture - Minimum of 10 years in a practice with specialism in residential and commercial both in planning and on site. Our client base contains some of the largest names in the construction industry and it is growing exponentially. They are now looking for a Director of Architecture to join this company which comprises 30 professional staff. You will be reporting directly to the CEO and will also attend Board Meetings. Your role will be to manage, motivate and grow the Architecture Team and to drive the business. It will also be about going out and getting new clients and retaining existing clients. As detailed above, it may suit someone running their own business or who has in the past but you will need to be commercially minded as there will be no limits set in terms of being involved in the business both strategically and on a day to day basis. They need additional people to grow the business on all sides and they are now looking at someone who wants opportunity, change and can be a leader in their field. Your role will include. Be design driven and help stimulate design and work culture across the company; Assist in the practices growth and relationship building with clients and stakeholders; Become a Company Director and take a lead in the management and direction of the company; Skills and Experience. To be considered for the role, you will require the following; At least 10 years professional experience in the Irish Market; Competent communicator to both clients and fellow employees; Member of RIAI / RIBA.
