Role: Assistant Accountant (4-month temp. Location: Galway City. Our multinational client will be undertaking several important activities over the coming months as they look to integrate their systems and processes with the wider group. To assist with this transition, they are looking for an Assistant Accountant to work with the Finance Department for a 4 month period starting ASAP. Key Responsibilities: Assistance to the Financial Controller in preparing the month end management accounts, to include bank, intercompany and other reconciliations. Helping the team implement Group policies and controls. Assist with the migration from existing SAP system to group JDE system. Assisting AR manager, in particular focusing on North American customers, helping to resolve billing issues involving other departments and collecting aging AR balances. Processing VAT and related returns for IRE and UK – and assisting our external firms prepare such returns for Germany, France and the Netherlands. Key Requirements: Accounting Qualification and 5 year’s post qualification experience, within a multi-currency, multi entity international organisation. Good professional experience gained from big 6 or equivalent preferable. Strong knowledge of Excel and other MS office products. Experience with an ERP system (SAP, JDE.
