Environmental Engineer- Meath Key Purpose: Our Client has had a notable increase in demand their services as a result they are looking to recruit an Environmental Engineer to their team. Our client is a consultancy firm who specialise in the soil and water environment pertaining to all aspects of its management and provide design services to customers on a private and public basis. Their consultancy extends to matters relating to Wastewater Treatment, Percolation Systems, Flood Risk Assessment, Surface water Drainage Design to name a few areas. Key Responsibilities: Our Client is looking for high quality professionals. Junior applicants and Senior applicants are encouraged to apply. Salary is negotiable depending on level of expertise. A more senior applicant would be expected to add to the business development aspect of the firm to help develop and maintain new business. The design role will include utilizing collected site data, relevant codes of practice and drawing packages to deliver design reports to our client's needs. Site work will involve topographical surveying, river assessment, soil assessments. Working indoors and outdoors and will involve occasionally digging small test holes with a spade 300mm x 300mm x 400mm deep. A full clean driving license is required. Key Experience and Requirements: Experience with Flood Risk Assessment, Hydrology and Flood Modelling would be looked upon favorably. Level 8 Environmental Engineering Degree Qualification or similar, i.e. hydrology, ecology, geology, hydrogeology, civil/environmental or environmental science. Our client has two offices, one based in Drogheda, Co. Meath and one in Virginia, Co. Cavan. This role will operate from the Cavan office.
