Description

Software Tester – Daily Rate. The Software Tester will perform testing activities to ensure that the quality of software being released into the Production environment is of a consistently high standard. You will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of tests in line with agreed plans and strategies. 3 – 6 month contract available based in Cork. Responsibilities: Ability to interpret user requirements, detailed technical and functional specifications and apply this information to plan, develop and execute test scenarios and scripts. Liaise with the development team to identify test requirements. Develop and execute comprehensive and well-defined test cases and test scripts and ensure traceability back to requirements. Work with developers to troubleshoot test issues. Raise & track defects. Escalate risks and issues to ensure resolution. Test strategy definition, test case specification for both manual and automated testing and test automation. Quality assurance of product functionality through manual and automated testing. Manage QA test environments including DB test data and multiple versions of software releases. Make recommendations to improve product reliability, performance and quality assurance best practices and processes. Requirements: Working knowledge of Software development testing tools and SQL. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, component testing, security testing, performance testing, UI/UX testing. Minimum 2 – 3 years relevant experience preferably in an Agile environment. ISEB/ISTQB Certification. Attention to detail and analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude. Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English fluently is required. Third level degree (minimum level 7) in a Computer Science discipline is desirable. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and structured standards and practices for regulated Industry including FDA ¦ GAMP ¦ 21CFR11 is preferable. Ability to comprehend regulatory requirements and technical documentation is preferable.
