Hartley People are currently recruiting for a QA & Regulatory Affairs Manager based in Kilkenny, please see details below. The Role: Implement quality procedures and promote continuous improvement. Conduct daily checks across the site to verify compliance. Manage the sampling and analysis laboratory programme and laboratory procedures and practices. Plan and conduct internal and supplier audits. Stay abreast of Customer policies and requirements and report upon matters likely to impact upon existing practices. Participate in Supplier review meetings and maintain a performance rating for each Supplier. Co-ordinate and handle customer complaints. Co-ordinate the annual calibration of all test and measuring devices. Monitor hygiene performance against documented cleaning schedules by managing a programme of verification activities involving visual checks and test procedures. Management of quality control staff in conjunction with the general manager. Ensure compliance with regulations set by various authorities depending on the industry. Maintain familiarity with company product ranges. Plan, undertake and oversee product trials and regulatory inspections. Keep up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines. Liaise and negotiate with regulatory authorities. Ensure that regulatory obligations are met and submissions meet strict deadlines. Prepare and maintain documentation. The Person: 3rd Level degree in Food Science or related. 4+ years’ experience in a similar role within the Food/Pharma Industry. Knowledge of quality standards and regulations (e.g. ISO9001, GMP, BRC, HACCP. Internal & supplier auditing experience. Strong IT skills. A motivated team player with excellent communication skills.
