An Garda Síochána is the national police service of Ireland whose mission is to deliver a professional policing and security service with the trust, confidence and support of the people it serves. The Office of the Executive Director Legal services the full range of complex legal needs of An Garda Síochána.   The Civil Legal section within this Directorate is responsible for the proactive management of all civil litigation involving the Garda Commissioner and for providing legal advice on key organisation projects and strategies.   Reporting to the Senior Solicitor within the Civil Legal section, the Legal Professional will be required to provide advice in a fast paced legal environment dealing with a broad range of legal issues.   The successful candidate will have been admitted and enrolled as a Solicitor in the State or be a qualified Barrister (as defined in section 2(1) of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015) and is registered with the Roll of Practising Barristers. S/he will have experience in the practice of law, coupled with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills as well as the ability to manage a multi-layered caseload in a busy environment.
