Opportunities in the National Building Control Office for Senior Executive Professionals. Dublin City Council is the lead Authority for the National Building Control Office which will be based in Dublin City Council. The National Building Control Office was set up in 2018 to co-ordinate and support the delivery of Building Control in the 31 Building Control Authorities through the four pillars of Training, Inspections, Compliance & Support and IS-BCMS (Building Control Management System. The National Building Control Office has opportunities for the following: • Senior Executive Engineers. • Senior Executive Architect. • Senior Executive Building Surveyor. The Senior Executive Professionals will report to the Head of the National Building Control Office and will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the statutory and legal framework, national policy and current thinking within Building Control. The roles require an excellent technical knowledge of the Building Control Acts, Building Regulations and Building Control Regulations, the risks for non-compliance, inspection strategies and the BCMS. S/he will be able to work within, and lead, multi-disciplined teams and have the ability to motivate and encourage personnel under their control to achieve maximum performance.
