Maintenance Technician The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to support the Maintenance Supervisor bycarrying outmaintenance duties and engineering projects associatedprimarily withOral Solid Dosage Processing and Packaging equipment. This work is to be carried out within the EHS standards, GMP standards and work etiquette set out by our client. Applicantsfor this vacancy must possess the following knowledge, skills, qualification and experiences. Possession of a relevant trade qualification (Fitter/Mech) is essential. 3-5 years’ experience working within a maintenance role within a pharmaceutical, cGMP regulated environment is essential. Experience of maintaining Process (oral solid dosage) and/or Filling/Packaging lines is a must. The ability to multi-task, troubleshoot and work under time constraints in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal and report/protocol writing skills with the ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams. Experience with the maintenance and upgrade of utilities and facilities would also be an advantage. The job of Maintenance Technician will involve but will not be limited to the following tasks and duties: Maintaining all Processing, Filling and Packaging lines in Production and carrying out regular PM checks to ensure all production targets are met. Documenting same as required. Recording all completed works on the computerised maintenance management system, PEMAC and ensuring they are carried out in a timely manner according to relevant procedures. Working closely with production to work on daily downtime reporting and continuous improvement projects to improve area efficiencies. Conducting fault finding and problem solving activities. Following up and closing out on identified issues found during routine/non-routine maintenance. Instrumentation - calibration, understanding of P.L.C. and trouble shooting. Documentation - all maintenance carried out to be recorded accurately and to be filed appropriately. Ensuring related Standard Operating Procedures and Training Records are kept up to date which may include for example, writing and implementing SOPs. Travelling to equipment suppliers and other sites to inspect equipment and for example to conduct F.A.T.s. Taking part in any projects associated with the Company’s continuous improvement programme.
