National Account Manager






We are now hiring a National Account Manager to join our Dublin team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. Primary Accountabilities: Deliver annual PepsiCo Business Plan Net Rev, Profit, MC% and value share plan. To drive and delivery core metrics share of range, space and distribution. Utilise trade investment efficiently through 1) effective negotiation and 2) developing a suitable promotional strategy that drives Net Rev, MC and MC %. Develop and deliver execution for all PepsiCo Marketing programmes, NPD and base initiatives, in line with internal expectations and LT top down targets. Forecasting & financial responsibility for - both internally & externally. Management responsibility for 1 direct report, which will involve coaching & development, setting overall direction, day-to-day management of tasks and completion of people processes. Identify new areas for growth within multi format customer, developing plans which create new selling space for PepsiCo outside the main CSN and CFJ aisles. Develop customised solutions for MRPI; including full management of C2C process and external customer engagement using WCCE. Lead and develop cross-functional relationships both internally and externally. Ownership of Customer P&L. Drive the field sales agenda for your customer. Challenge ways of working to ensure we drive future business model. Essential Skills: - Ensure PepsiCo in-store execution standards set the bench across Grocery showing ability that enables the designing of programmes that deliver both the basics (POS, SEL's etc) and differentiated solutions for the customer. The role will be responsible for owning and running weekly team huddle across Customer Key account and Field Team and wider matrix team (running the meeting & organising attendees). Essential to be able to deliver through people. Develop critical thinking by supporting on customer projects & PepsiCo JBPs. Lead external account management meetings, strong interpersonal skills to drive customer engagement and influence and deliver for PepsiCo and Customer. Key element in the role is delivering the BU people plan, ability to coach and lead the wider team. Leadership in managing & driving our Field team delivery of the Customers important metrics. Without reference to Manager: Day-to-day trading contact with all Buying Teams. Promotional calendar and forecasting ownership. Marketing Programmes and NPD Execution (on time and in full. Management of Trade Investment within Budget, strong course correction exp. Account communication (Internal & External. Operational decisions allowing general day to day momentum to be maintained. In collaboration with Manager: Ownership of Negotiation of annual terms and investment. Development of Account Plans and JBP - 1-year plan, 3-year view Top-To-Top / Middle-To-Middle Meeting Planning as part of leading the account. Experience: Will have developed a Business Plan including execution/promotional plan from scratch for major Mults. Will have negotiated terms/investment over several years. Have a shown history of understanding customers & markets in which he/she has operated including examples of proactive influence. Will have demonstrated solid people results - management or influence. Grocery account management essential, with demonstration of consistent track record in results delivery essential - SHARE - NR - Profit. Competencies: Drive for results - successful record of delivering results and continually demonstrating a sense of urgency; knows the numbers cold; recognises the need for balanced growth; retail and executional focused. Commercial awareness - feels comfortable understanding, building plans & negotiating around a PIFB & MRPI JBP P&L s Understands the impact of decisions and can build negotiations to deliver win/win/win for shopper, MRPI and PepsiCo. Setting the agenda - strong customer centric focus to see opportunities, build and translate activity into executable plans.
