Our client are looking for a Graduate or Junior Health & Safety Advisor interested in paving a career in the Construction Industry. This is a permanent full-time position. Ideally suited to someone with 6 mths - 1 year experience within Health & Safety, not necessarily within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities. 1. To support and assist the HSEQ Manager in the management and implementation of all HSEQ Policies & Procedures throughout the organisation. 2. To assist in the continued development and improvement of the current management system. 3. To communicate and liaise with other departments regarding health, safety, environmental and quality data and information. 4. Assist the HSEQ Manager in conducting site inspections and provide guidance on health and safety observations. 5. To support senior management in driving H&S culture. 6. Devise tool box talks and bulletins. 7. Support the HSEQ Manager in maintaining accreditations i.e. ISO 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Acclaim, Exor etc. 8. Assist the Bid Team in tender submissions. Required skills. 1. NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum. 2. Have high levels of IT systems such as Excel, Word and Power point. 3. Have a passion to learn and develop their career in health, safety, environmental and quality. 4. Knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) 2015 Regulations. 5. Be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative. 6. Ability to manage own time effectively, prioritise workload and ability to lead teams. 7. At least 1 year experience in construction health and safety on site, preferably new build but not essential. 8. Previous experience in asbestos removal and have received Asbestos Awareness training. 9. Full driving license and access to their own transport. Desirable. 1. CISRS Scaffold Inspection. 2. Previous experience in ISO accreditation. 3. BOHS P402 Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings.
