Feeder Test Engineer
Feeder Test Engineer - Dublin. Role Overview: Reporting into the Assembly and Testing function, this role will have two main accountabilities: • To validate the company's tooling products on their testing machines to ensure fit and functionality of tooling to machine and customer specification. • To conduct customer FAT’s by installing and validating the company's tooling products on their testing machines to ensure fit and functionality of tooling to machine and customer specification. Key duties/responsibilities: • Validate tooling to project specification as per the production schedule. • Works cross-departmentally to troubleshoot and resolve fit and functionality issues to meet project deadlines. • Conduct customer FAT’s to validate tooling to project specification as per the FAT schedule. • Conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure that all test machines are in running condition at all times. • Troubleshoot and repair machinery as necessary. Key Skills required: • Excellent customer facing skills. • Excellent technical problem solving and fault-finding skills. • Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings. • Ability to work independently, with minimum direction and in pressure situations. • Ability to self-direct and self-motivate. • Strong organisational skills. • Strong communication skills through generation of reports. • The post will require a high level of flexibility to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service to the customer base. Experience required: • Diploma or higher in mechanical engineering or comparable discipline. • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, preferably in manufacturing industry. • Experience with electro-/mechanical control equipment.
