Reporting to the Billing Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the risk and audit function for the billing services and Credit Management team. You will have overall responsibility for the management of the Risk and control functions within Billing Compliance Team. Manage the development and functionality of the billing and credit management compliance control and audit structure as directed by the Billing Compliance Lead. Manage and develop analytical and compliance management capability (people, processes, technology) in the wider business as directed by the Billing Compliance Lead. Audit. Implement and sustain Bord Gáis Energy's internal process audit / methodology. Execute and manage reviews of / changes to policies and procedures, and embed in the organisation as appropriate. Ensure Billing Compliance's operational independency. Execute and manage findings, recommendations and insight from the Bill and credit management Audit Reports to improve Bord Gáis Energy compliance management. Provide 2nd Line of defence ensuring tariff accuracy across all customer types. Review of all tariff changes before and after price change go live to ensure accuracy. Independent tariff change sign off on behalf of Billing Compliance. Expand and formalise bill audits across all tariff categories. Ensuring full coverage ( and process documentation ) of all tariff types with both 1st line of defence bill teams and 2nd line of defence billing compliance audit checks. Change Management. Interface with Operations Improvement - execute and manage sign off on tariff and non-tariff changes affecting the department to avoid deviation from compliance. Liaise with product development to ensure adequate controls are in place that adhere to compliance for any new products. Compliance & Regulatory Governance and Control. Execute and manage assurance of overall vendor compliance with regulations and policies, in particular data protection, processes compliance, etc. Execute and manage implementation of policy for managing authorisation levels in CC&B. Create and maintain controls around monthly reporting on authorisation levels in CC&B. Ensure application of control points / spot checks in the billing and credit management processes and audit trails, in particular for manual entries and outsourced tasks. Consult and Implement with IT audit trails for all manual transactions or high risk processes on all systems within all billing / non billing and credit management processes. Manage and facilitate departmental input into the risk management process for the Billing Services and credit management. Other duties may be assigned as required. About You. Proven and solid background in compliance management and audit, including detailed understanding of Residential, SME, Commercial and Industrial Billing is desirable. Good understanding of KPIs, SLAs and audit performance metrics. Results orientated, efficient , dynamic individual who is motivated by target achievement. Excellent numeric skills and knowledge of principles involved in compliance and risk management. Ability to work to targets and deadlines. Proven interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. Ability to accept responsibility and demonstrate maturity within the role. PC literate and high level of proficiency in MS packages - Excel, Word, Outlook. Ability to interface professionally and positively with external (third party vendors) and internal senior stakeholders in Bord Gáis Energy.
