International Revenue Accountant. Job description: Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a skilled Revenue Accountant, with strong potential for career development. This position requires a motivated person that wants to gain extended experience in a revenue position -ideally minimum of 3 years of related experience, with experience in public accounting preferred. Candidate should have a working understanding of revenue recognition accounting requirements. Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure that revenue related journals are posted within the required deadlines for the various entities. Liaise with various GBS teams and local Business Finance. Responsible for driving month end and quarter end close and ensuring that various activities are being performed within the required deadlines set by Corporate (cut-off, revenue bridge- and book analysis, Top-20 customer analysis and posting various revenue accruals. Review of customer revenue models and identifying contract Performance Obligations (POB’s) to be accounted for. Maintain accurate revenue recognition models for assigned projects. Perform critical review of revenue and cost forecast changes to determine revenue recognition impact. Evaluate, create and implement processes and controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Communicate and educate on revenue recognition requirements. Assist Revenue Manager to document and communicate judgments pertaining to revenue recognition. Provide analytical revenue and unbilled receivable management reporting. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to revenue recognition. Build positive relationships with project managers and other key stakeholders. Contribute to a positive team environment. Qualifications: Experience: This position requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience, with experience in public accounting preferred. Candidate should have a working understanding of revenue recognition accounting requirements. Public accounting experience preferred. Big 4 experience is a plus. Experience with Oracle and Oracle Projects Module a plus. Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred and emphasis in accounting highly preferred.
