Job Description. Purpose and Scope. The Human Resources Business Partner will work closely with those holding line management responsibilities to support them as they lead their teams. The post holder will be expected to develop strong relationships with staff and stakeholders across the business for the purposes of delivering accurate, appropriate and timely HR support, advice and guidance and to gain insights that can help drive lasting performance improvements. The HR Business Partner will support the implementation and application of HR policy and strategy, ER/IR, Occupational Health and Employee Wellbeing and represent the needs of the business in HR. Key Responsibilities. • Operating in a consulting and advisory mode, support the organisation in the achievement of objectives which address: Talent management; Performance and development; Enabling change in a positive way; Building engagement and Organisation Development. • Provide support to Line Managers via coaching, consulting and advice, to assist them in effectively addressing staffing issues such as capability/performance, disciplinary and grievance issues which may arise. • Support Line Managers with Performance Development Reviews and calibration, ASR and STI bonus processes. • Monitor and work with Managers on absenteeism and wellbeing matters. Review sickness absence and undertake relevant interventions, including referrals to Occupational Health and endeavour to resolve long-term cases in the most appropriate and effective manner. • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance (including GDPR. • Maintain a positive IR/ER environment and support the development of frameworks for engagement as appropriate. • Lead recruitment and selection activities, including headcount planning, job evaluation, candidate sourcing, assessment, interviewing, selection, reference checking and onboarding. • Support Line Managers through full exit management process. • Ensure the implementation of HR processes, policies and procedures that are based on best practice as well as fully compliant with Irish employment legislation. • Support the development of appropriate HR metrics, KPIs or dashboards that will support decision-making and monitoring effectiveness of planned strategies. • Ensure that all HR data is managed within the requirements of GDPR. • Compile accurate and timely reports as required by the organisation. • Support the day-to-day supervision of more junior members of the HR team. • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and employee rights & obligations in all actions and activities. • Any other ad hoc duties as deemed reasonable by the Head of HR / business / department. Essential Qualification. Third Level Qualification - Degree in HRM or related area. Accreditations CIPD certification. Essential Experience and Behaviours. • 5+ years broad, generalist experience operating as an advisor and consultant to staff supervisors, managers and management teams, ideally gained in a similar environment. • Strong performance management, Employee Relations and employment law experience. • Excellent communication skills, and comfortable dealing with all levels of internal stakeholders. • Strong business acumen, with an understanding and belief in how the HR function contributes to strategic decision making. • Effective collaborator, and problem solver, with a desire to simplify processes and make things happen. • Proven ability in identifying and implementing process improvements. • Detail and goal-oriented, with the flexibility to deal with multiple and changing priorities while remaining focused on service and quality. • Ability to perform to a high standard demonstrating resilience, flexibility and tenacity. • Strong team and relationship-building skills. Preferred Experience. • Experience of change management strategies or approaches. • Manufacturing experience working in a fast-paced matrix environment. • Project management skills.
