Developer in Test: Wales, UK. The Role: To help improve and extend test automation frameworks and test tools and test the range of world class products for industry. Our client is looking for someone who can make a difference, with a great attitude, a willingness to learn and share and a desire to drive change. More than test automation, real development work to support a highly-skilled test team with new tools. You will be working in a demanding, but truly supportive environment. Working as part of a tightly knit Test Team, working closely with developers on Agile projects as part of the R&D department of an industry-leading company currently experiencing significant growth. Skills/Qualifications sought: • Degree (or equivalent qualification) in maths/software engineering/computing/electronics. • Understanding of Software Development Processes. • Proven experience of at least one scripting/programming language e.g. Python. • Attention to detail. Meticulous and thorough. • Understanding of software test debug techniques. • Software Test experience and Unit Testing. • Knowledge of bug-tracking and configuration management. • Experience of Windows environments. • Proven experience in test automation/test tools development. • Ability to coach and train others. Desirable Experience/Skills: • Experience of Test Frameworks. • Familiarity with scheduling tools, especially Jenkins. • Familiarity with Microsoft Tools: Visual Studio and Test Manager. • C#/++ This job originally appeared on RecruitIreland.com.
