R&D Analytical Scientist
I am seeking a Scientist to work as part of an Analytical Research and Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Analytical R&D team to establish a new laboratory that focuses on method development and validation for all phases of drug development.The Scientist will provide analytical testing support, including analytical method development and validation. About the Job: Co-ordination and execution of all aspects of method development and validation. Interface with partners on scientific issues, study design and project technical requirements. Plan, direct and implement improvements in systems and processes in order to enhance efficiency and quality. Supervise and assist senior technical staff in laboratory operations. Assist with strategic planning, business development and new technology implementation. About You: Education & Experience; Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry. Experience within a Research and Development or an analytical testing laboratory is essential. Experience using a variety of instrumentation which may include the following: GC, HPLC, NGI, ACI, DUSA and other applicable analytical instruments. Other desirable qualities include: Expertise in analytical method development and validation. Expertise in analytical Cleaning method development and validation from a variety of surfaces. Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal. Strong mentoring and training skills, experience in Method Transfer activities as a transferring and/or receiving Laboratory. Ability to build and develop relationships with contract laboratories and agencies. Sound understanding of budgeting projection and cost saving. Ability to plan, organize and work to deadlines in a start-up environment. Experience in reverse engineering in the Generics Industry would lend a candidate a significant advantage.
