SUMMARY OF ROLE: We are currently recruiting a Group Planning Manager located in Dublin 3, for a pan-European construction materials manufacturing group. Our client is a rapidly growing group with ambitious growth plans both organically and through acquisition and is a market leader in its sector. The role reports to the Group Strategy Manager and will provide strategic analysis, strong financial modelling, analytical and presentation support to senior management in its ambitious plans to expand the company. The role requires a very dynamic and flexible attitude, with an emphasis on modelling, accounting and presentation skills combined with a strong sense of strategic and commercial issues, capable of contributing significantly to the decisions of the executive management team. The ideal candidate will likely come from a large accounting firm, financial consultancy, stockbroker or other financial institution or from a large multinational group. However all other backgrounds will be seriously condsidered with the right experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Cash flow forecasting and analysis; • Supporting the group budgeting process; • Providing financial and market evaluation of new projects; • Supporting the preparation of group board and investor presentations; • Assist management in their dealings with financial institutions; • General business modelling; • Working with the group management team on various accounting/treasury/fiscal and other issues as required from time to time. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Very dynamic and flexible attitude, with an emphasis on modelling, accounting and presentation skills combined with a strong sense of strategic and commercial issues; • Ability to handle detail while at the same time keeping focused on the bigger picture is essential; • Very strong financial analytical abilities; • Strong financial modelling skills; • Excellent verbal and written presentation/communication skills across a multinational group; • Good business acumen; • Good knowledge of financial reporting; • Ideally the candidate will be a qualified accountant/MBA and have experience in business analysis covering both financial modelling and preparation of presentations for senior management and investors. SALARY: A basic salary of €80,000 will be paid to the right candidate depending on experience. In addition there is the normal group benefits package. WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm.
