Financial Management Accountant (Internal Audit. This is a senior level position within the Council reporting to the Chief Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that a comprehensive programme of audit work is carried out annually throughout the local authority and ensuring best practice in Corporate Governance and Risk Management within the organisation. The successful candidate will have a professional accountancy qualification and be a member of a recognised body of Accountants. S/he will also have satisfactory experience of accountancy work including management accounting and/or financial accounting.
