An experienced operational Buyer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based client. This Buyer has an opportunity to join a well established, innovative engineering company. THE ROLE: * Responsible for the scheduling and organisation of materials into the manufacturing plant. * PO placement, PO tracking, expedite or de-expedite product as required, ensuring material availability for production plans. * Combination of using system and physical stock checks to ensure accurate stock information before ordering. * Ensure agreed performance targets with suppliers are met, including on-time delivery and lead-time accuracy. * Develop queries & models to establish and support key business metrics & reports. REQUIREMENTS: * 3 years' experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Qualifications in the area of supply chain management e.g. APICS/IIPMM certification. * Experience with an ERP/MRP system would be advantage. * Experience dealing with suppliers, freight forwarders and couriers.
