Finning is one of the world’s largest suppliers of Caterpillar construction, earthmoving, quarrying and mining equipment. They are now looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team in Rathcoole. Within a customer-focused, innovative and collaborative culture, you will have the chance to support Finning’s ongoing success and maintain their reputation for exceptional standards. As the Health and Safety Advisor, you’ll provide advice and support across the business regarding health, safety, quality, environmental and CDM legislation. Working with Managers and business leaders, you’ll support them to achieve excellent performance in all areas of SHEQ. You’ll ensure the company follows legal requirements, international standards and promotes a culture that improves and enhances their reputation. You’ll maintain the internal management systems, co-ordinate and chair EH&S projects and assist with specialist risk assessments and method statement reviews. Additionally, you’ll liaise with external regulatory bodies to ensure that compliance is maintained across the Finning group. To be considered, you will need: - Substantial experience in a site, construction and/or project management role. - Experience of electrical and mechanical systems. - Substantial knowledge and experience of CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations and application in a very technical and highly hazardous environment. - Professional membership of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety. - A NEBOSH General certification and environmental foundation management certificate. - An engineering qualification. Organised and detail-oriented, as the Health and Safety Advisor, you’ll have great interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
