What you need to know. You will work as a Senior Buyer for our client, a highly ambitious food manufacturing company in Co. Longford . You will be responsible for all supplier management, inventory management/control, stock accuracy, buying and ensuring stock is there to meet production plans. You will work alongside the buying and supply chain team and report into the Supply Chain Manager . This is a permanent job. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Develop capacity plan for the site. Create production plans to optimise plant capacity and meet required service levels. Manage finished goods to optimise inventory and maintain customer service level objectives. Lead daily/weekly planning meetings and follow up on issues impacting production plan. Ensuring timely placement of PO’s in support of MRP process. Managing material supply and stock levels to required targets. Manage run in & out of stock for product relaunches. Perform ageing analysis of WIP and work with Operations to ensure FIFO. Implement process improvements with key suppliers. Communicate critical supply issues. Update, monitor and publish KPI’s for own area. Participate and contribute towards lean and continuous improvement activities. What are we looking for? 3rd Level Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Engineering ideally. A minimum of 3-4 years’ work experience of buying and planning in a high- volume manufacturing environment. Certification in APICS or related principle. Strong ERP and excel experience. In-depth knowledge of order management, planning, buying and scheduling.
