Operations Manager. A unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of this great company and use all of your technical and interpersonal skills to date to support change both in the short and long term. In this key role you will : - Lead the Operations including: Production, Engineering/Maintenance & Supply Chain/Customer Service teams. Maximise productivity, efficiency, quality, safety & customer service & relevant costs. Deploy Global standards in Safety, Quality & Lean/performance. Drive major projects of CAPEX & potential foot printing & sourcing/production strategy. Be a member of management team & lead, inspire & develop a long-term vision. Coordinate with Supply Chain, S&OP, Engineering, Ops Excellence, Purchasing. Essential requirements: Degree in a Sci, Eng or Production related discipline. Six years' in manufacturing in a high volume & target driven env. Two years' in S/Chain & Customer Service. Track record of continuous improvement & people development. Knowledge/use of Lean/six sigma principles & demonstrate change implementation. Have overseen completion of Capital Projects & exp working in chemical, pharma or food environment. Key Accountabilities. Compliance - In H&S &, Quality. Strategy Roll Out. Capabilities Development & Performance Management. Cross Functional Work. Team Development. Deliverables. Manage & develop production, eng & planning depts. achieve targets in line with agreed KPI's & SQCDME. Encourage & drive H&S& Env policies & procedures & target 0% accident rate. Ensure quality of manufactured goods through effective mgt. & ownership of quality systems. Drive development of a continuous improvement culture within operational depts - Yields, OE, defect rate. Responsible for budget setting (OPEX, CAPEX, Inventories), control & ownership in depts. & minimise ops expenditure within the business wherever possible. Develop team & liaise with direct reports to agree, implement & monitor manpower planning/utilisation requirements in line with objectives (Service level, stock level etc.) Manage & develop teams through coaching, skills development. Competencies. Leadership: Visible & strong leadership skills. Coaching/Mentoring: Strong coaching/mentoring ability. Communication: Proven communication & collaboration skills. Health & Safety: Good standard of knowledge & awareness on current legislation. Quality: Food safety, HACCP, Traceability. Manufacturing: Production & Maintenance. Project Management: CAPEX, product launch, Supply Chain change. Planning & S&OP: Demand & Supply Planning, MRP & S&OP.
