We are now recruiting a General Accounting Analyst to join the financial team. This is a newly created role and for the right person has many exciting long term career opportunities. On top of the regular accounting duties listed below, you role will to be to develop relationships with key stake holders throughout the plant and be responsible for the reporting on various cross functional projects including waste management. This role requires someone who has a passion for accounting and who can demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in business processes. A key part of this role is to improve financial analysis for the business partners and skate holders of finance and involves working with the financial team to produce better and more accurate data in a timely manner for the plant. As a General Accounting Analyst for BD will work with the Poland SSC and provide and support to on invoice queries and payment issues. You will support the preparation of monthly results package for departmental budget owners and work with cross functional teams to support their requirements - volumes, inventory, product costing, etc. You will prepare monthly inventory reporting metrics and report to key stakeholders. You will participate in various teams’ related activities to ensure proper SOX controls and compliance with Company policies. You will ensure accuracy of financials through reconciliation to General Ledger and identify any accounting errors and mis-postings and prepare journal vouchers to correct where necessary. You must ensure key HFM deadlines are met. You must manage banking requirements, including cheque payments, journal posting and reconciliation. You will be proactive and drive process improvements across all areas of finance. You will liaise with business partners in the Dun Laoghaire facility to share best practice. Maximise use of ERP system (SAP) to help with financial analysis and decision making. Provide general accounting and reporting support for the manufacturing plant. Prepare month-end analyses on key manufacturing areas of PPV, MUV, Spending. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3yrs experience working within a financial function ideally within a fast paced manufacturing environment. Experience of cost accounting is essential to complete this role. The ideal person will hold a min of a part qualified accounting qualification within ACCA/CIMA/IPA or will hold a diploma in Business studies and will be studying for a professional body qualification. The ideal candidate will hold a working knowledge of finance and accounting concepts and will possess strong analytical and communication skills. They will be able to learn quickly and will be analytical, action orientated and results driven as well as process oriented. Demonstrable team skills and being flexible is also an imperative part of this role. This person will also continually look for opportunities to improve financial reporting at the site. Experience of SAP would be an advantage along with a demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Pivot table, V Look ups, etc. Proven ability to work as a good team player. The successful candidate will demonstrate problem solving and continuous improvement skills. The role entails 80% routine accounting work and 20% project.
