We are delighted to assist our client in recruiting a Health Care Co-ordinator to provide assistance to the Priest's with pastoral responsibility for sick and retired priests of the diocese in Dublin. The role is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis of 38 hours per week. Current responsibilities for Health Care Co-ordinator: This is a lovely position providing a wealth of opportunities to support retired priests. Reporting to the Priest's with pastoral responsibility for sick and retired priests of the diocese the Health Care Co-ordinator will: Visit priests and in conjunction with their line manager develop care plans. Liaise with the HSE regarding support services such as home care, occupational therapy and public health nursing services as well applications for full time care. Advise priests on their medical entitlements and services available. Provide, organise and deliver health care seminars for the priests of the diocese. Liaise with other Diocesan Offices in support of sick and senior priests where necessary. Accompany priests to hospital and clinic appointments as is necessary. Requirements: The successful candidate will be a qualified, registered health care professional with a minimum of 3 years' experience in elderly care. Possess a particular capacity for working with the elderly and have post graduate qualifications and experience in this area. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Be empathetic to the ethos and philosophy of the Diocese. Driving licence and use of a car are essential. Be able to empathise with priests, effectively engage in therapeutic activities. Be able to work flexible hours on a rare occasion outside of Monday to Friday 9-5pm however hours can be very flexible. Have the ability to take initiative and work as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
