Description

Support the roll-out of the national Nursing and Midwifery Curriculum by coaching tutors in the implementation and advising on additional adolescent friendly service provision and early essential newborn care. Strengthen the skills of nurse/midwife tutors in the delivery of, specifically, emergency obstetric and newborn education through on-the-job training. Strengthen the clinical facilitation of student nurses and midwives in Matany Hospital, Moroto Regional Referral Hospital and during field attachments by accompanying students and coaching clinical facilitators. Participate in the Preparation of the School of Nursing for the transition from offering only certificate level to also offering diploma level nursing and midwifery. Support health facility staff to increase their capacity to provide non-judgemental adolescent and youth services, both through skills strengthening and coaching. Build the Capacity of students to be able to teach mothers on a one-to-one basis on maternal and newborn health care and services.
