We have an exciting Sous Chef position for candidates based in the west of Ireland. Our clients are looking for a sous chef with the drive to become head chef within the year, at their award winning gastro pub. Previous sous chef experience in a similar property for a minimum of two years is required. Main Duties of the role include: To be responsible for a section in the kitchen. To ensure the smooth running of the section ensuring the standards of cuisine and hygiene are maintained. • To prepare all ingredients for service to the required standard, ensuring no wastage. • To have joint responsibility with the Head Chef for the overall operation of the kitchen. • To ensure the smooth running of food service with restaurant personnel. • To ensure all goods are stored correctly and hygienically in accordance. with HACCP specifications. • To promote a positive working atmosphere at all times. • To train & develop kitchen personnel, to the requires standards of. the restaurant. • Must be able to work well on your own initiative and to work. in a team environment. Experience/Qualifications. • Will have previous experience as a Sous Chef within a hotel/restaurant Industry. (minimum 2-3 years. • Excellent Knowledge of HACCP. • Will possess excellent communication and organisational skills. • Will have fluency in English, both oral and written. • Will be flexible in their working hours.
