Data Governance Analyst. Reference: R9961318. Data Governance, Dublin Based. 12 month Fixed Term contract. Reporting to: Data Governance Lead. We are the helpful energy company. As a Data Governance Analyst with Bord Gáis Energy, you will have a primary focus on data subject rights requests under GDPR. You will be responsible for coordinating, processing and logging data subject rights requests to ensure completion within the relevant timeframe. Working in the present Data Governance team, you will also advise and collaborate with the organisation on data protection best practice across various business areas. If you have experience in the provision of Data Governance functions, and are adept at analytical thinking and problem solving, this could be the opportunity for you! About the Role. Your main responsibilities will include: Complete all data subject rights requests, promptly and within the timeframes set out in the General Data Protection Regulation/ Data Protection Act 2018. Keep an accurate log of all requests. Maintain contact with key internal and external business contacts to ensure personal data is provided within necessary timeframes. Effectively handle day-to-day written customer communication regarding access requests. Liaise with members of the Data Governance team regarding approval for data subject rights requests. Collaborate on the design of DP policies/procedures and resulting documents. Assist the Data Governance Lead in facilitating Data Protection training where required. Log all data incidents which occur within the business. Assist in the investigation of data incidents and complaints. Promote data governance best practice across the organisation. Improve the knowledge base of yourself and other business stakeholders through data privacy training sessions. Assist in creating a "privacy by design and default" ethos within Bord Gáis Energy. About You. Ideally strong experience in the provision of Data Governance functions or in a similar business role. Ability to manage a number of tasks, meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations. Strong knowledge of Data Protection requirements and Data Protection best practice. Experience in understanding data flows and identifying risks. You will ideally hold a Data Protection related certification, however this is not crucial. Analytical approach to solving problems and issues. Ability to work well within and across teams to collect all necessary information. Good communicator who can maintain clear communication with both colleagues and customers. Confident in gaining familiarity with new IT systems. Ability to prioritise work through excellent time management. Strong motivation to see tasks through to completeness. Initiative to carry out necessary due diligence on Data Governance subject matter in order to advise business stakeholders accurately when required. Ambition to learn on the job and move from task to task fluidly where required. Confidence in building and managing professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Strong writing skills and tone of voice awareness for writing emails/letters to both internal and external stakeholders and customers. Willingness to assist with meetings and engage in business process conversations with different teams. Ability to read situations quickly and adapt to diverse stakeholder personalities to maintain cohesive relationships with colleagues.
