Title of Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Status: Full Time Permanent Contract. Employer: WIT Diverse Campus Services Ltd. (WIT DCS. Reporting to: Chair of the WIT DCS Board. Main Duties associated with this Position: In conjunction with the Chairman of the WIT DCS Board and the President of WIT, development and implementation of a detailed strategy in line with the overall WIT strategy. Leading and driving change within the company in line with the vision and strategy for WIT DCS inspiring enthusiasm and commitment of the team. Management and delivery of Service Level Agreements of all WIT DCS covering Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Retail, Sports Facilities, and all other services in conjunction/collaboration with the Institute’s Executive teams. Leadership and management of all managers and staff within the WIT DCS organisation providing a positive, proactive, supportive and team focused environment with an emphasis on continual improvement. The formulation and achievement of financial budgets in line with the required Service Level Agreements for all services. Monitoring of sector trends and benchmarking against similar organisations. Optimising income from commercial services. Co-ordinating the planning of refurbishment, renovation, and best practice property management. Statutory compliance and Risk maintenance including all Health and Safety requirements across all divisions of WIT DCS. Ensuring high quality in the performance and review of services and agreed KPI’s. Negotiating SLA’s between WIT DCS, WIT and external parties. In line with the agreed strategy, review and implementation of ‘fit for purpose’ WIT DCS structures. Develop proposal and strategies for the marketing and promotion of the facilities and services offered. Key Actions: Implementation and execution of Strategy plan for WIT DCS Organisation. Provision of excellent WIT DCS services across WIT to all students and stakeholders. Review and understand the entire business of the WIT DCS, engage with stakeholders and manage (through SLA’s) all peripheral and non-core activities. Positive management and development of all employees within a supportive and progressive environment, maximising on good employee relations and engagement. Comprehensive review of existing SLA’s and their effectiveness. Comprehensive review of financial status of the organisation and achievement of budgets. Individual Specification: The ideal candidate will hold at least ten years’ experience in senior managerial capacity with strong financial and commercial accountability. A proven ability to develop and achieve demanding budgets within a complex and competitive commercial environment in addition to negotiating with and managing third party providers through SLA agreements. Evidence of strong project management skills and an ability to think strategically and creatively while managing diverse staff across varied disciplines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge and experience of academic institutions would be an advantage but not essential. A degree in Finance or equivalent is strongly preferred.
