Personal Manager. Our public sector client is a large complex organisation operating from multiple sites across the region. They are seeking to recruit a manager with significant organisational experience across people management, HR and recruitment functions. Reporting to the Operations Manager candidates should have; Significant experience of managing and working within a HR environment at a senior level. Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders including multidisciplinary teams and administrative level. A record of managing change in a complex environment. Track record of team management and development. The role is a key post in the management structure of the organisation with specific responsibilities for a number of key functions in the context of the management of staff in the organisation. These functions and responsibilities are listed below and are intended to reflect the desire of the organisation to implement best practice in the management of staff while optimising service delivery. Primary duties & responsibilities. Prepare in co-operation with line managers compliant rosters, which reflect the needs of customer care. Manage agreed rosters on a pro-active basis to ensure maximum efficiency with the objective of complying with European Directives on working hours. Engage with senior managers across the organisation in the development of staffing plans for each manager including the replacement and / or new posts. Prepare and agree rotas with other sites in the region. Lead and promote the use of technology for the scheduling of resources throughout the organisation through the utilisation of an electronic-rostering system. Engage with the Training Colleges and other third level providers to optimise service delivery, staffing and training requirements with the resources available. Engage with the Universities and other Educational providers in the development of initiatives to support staff in their continued professional training and development as appropriate. Develop appropriate monitoring and control arrangements to ensure that the organisations statutory and contractual obligations are fulfilled. Develop induction programmes for staff and arrange the delivery of these programmes as appropriate. Manage any contractual queries that arise in a timely manner. To be a source of HR support to the operations team. Develop recruitment and retention policies and practices for the organisation. Be an active member of the Senior Management Team. Demonstrate pro-active commitment to all communications with internal and external stakeholders.
