Our client, a multinational biopharmaceutical company, with their head office in the USA and various sites across the globe are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team. This company produce ground breaking therapeutics for rare diseases. Based in Dublin City Centre, you will have responsibility for a team of qualified accountants who are responsible for the month end close through US GAAP. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the GL and financial statement generation process for several entities within the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. The role will report into the Senior Manager within EUMEA Accounting. Key responsiblities of the role will include: Management of a team including development and mentoring of individuals. Define roles, responsibilities and priorities within the team and delegate workload as appropriate. Achievement of key deliverables for the monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Close process under US GAAP. Review and provide oversight on assigned financial entities. Demonstrate competency in complex accounting issues. Apply a controls-based culture on financial oversight. Identify and implement process improvements. Support EUMEA-based and global-led projects - provide leadership on local projects as required. Work with tax to ensure intercompany agreements are reflected in monthly accounting. Lead monthly financial reviews with internal stakeholders from the perspective of the entities under your jurisdiction. Manage the compilation of financial statements for the legal entities and branches under your management in accordance with Local GAAP. Liaise with the Reporting, Audit and Compliance Manager in providing required information to external and internal auditors. Provide Technical Accounting research and input as required. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who can liaise with various stakeholders within operations, tax, US consolidations and across the local and international finance team. To be considered, you will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA accountant with minimum 5 years' post qualified experience. We are seeking an experienced manager, so minimum 2 years' management experience within the multinational pharma / biopharma environment is essential.
