The Loughs Agency is seeking to appoint the following post: (The post will run until 2022, with possible extension, subject to funding. PRINCIPAL PROJECT OFFICER. Salary Scale: (Grade7) £48,226 to £52,857. Purpose of the Role. The Principal Project Officer within this team will be responsible for ensuring high quality project management of a range of complex work streams and interdependencies on the INTERREG SeaMonitor project. The role will provide strong leadership working closely with project partners and other members of the interdisciplinary team. The post holder will provide strategic direction to the project, ensuring appropriate financial procedures, human resources and all other necessary support functions are in place to deliver measurable outcomes against financial and project targets etc. The post holder will also be required to co-ordinate multiple project partners, with particular focus on strategic, financial management, risk management and all other governance arrangements as required by the project. Essential Criteria. Applicants must demonstrate that they possess the following criteria, by the closing date for applications: 1.Honours Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline. AND 3 years’ demonstrable experience in medium to large scale project management. OR. 2.5 years’ demonstrable experience in medium to large scale project management. PLUS FOR ALL CANDIDATES. 3.3 years’ demonstrable experience of managing staff and resources using a project management approach. 4.A proven ability and experience of managing significant budgets and associated management reporting. 5.A proven ability and experience of working within agreed budgets and demanding time schedules. 6.Possess strong negotiation skills. 7.Proven decision making and problem solving skills. 8.Have excellent communication skills. 9.A full and current driving (held for at least 2 years and with no more than 6 penalty points.
