Hartley People are looking to recruit a Buyer for an exciting opportunity with a fantastic client.   The Role: Responsible for placing purchase orders for new and existing products. Identifying and managing cost improvement initiatives. Issue, receive and manage Customer owned Inventory. Utilise the ERP system for processing Sales Orders and controlling owned inventory. Monitor and review performance against agreed plans and budgets. Identify procedures that can effectively be implemented for continuous improvement. Devise, implement and manage supply chain projects. The Person: Previous experience in purchasing for the Engineering/Pharma/Food Industry. Effective thinker who can ensure quality and performance are maintained. Proficient in MS tools, Word / Excel / Project / PowerPoint etc. ERP experience and knowledge would be a significant advantage.
