Senior QC Analyst / Analytical Chemist
Our client is a global animal health company dedicated to supporting customers and their businesses in the best way. Building on 60 years of experience, they deliver quality medicines and vaccines, complemented by diagnostic products, genetic tests, bio devices and a range of services. They are the world's largest producer of medicine and vaccinations for pets and livestock - they sell to over 100 countries worldwide and need to grow to sustain this! They are currently looking for a QC Analytical Chemist . This individual will support the QC Lead in establishing and maintaining the Quality System for QC; ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures are in place and that compliance with cGMP is maintained through ongoing training and process review. They will be responsible for Method Transfer and Validation on site, and will be responsible for the release of materials on site, including Raw Materials, intermediate produce and API's. Responsibilities: Analytical support to include monitoring of production and analytical results throughout the technology transfer and process validation phases. Preparation & review of laboratory documentation (e.g. Method Transfer and Validation protocols and reports, SOP's, calibration procedures, Analytical Test Records and miscellaneous protocols. Testing of Raw Material, Intermediates, API's and materials associated with the reaction process and cleaning process in accordance with approved procedures including the stability testing program. Sampling and Testing of support utilities (Water, Nitrogen, Steam, Enviromental Monitoring. Active participation in problem solving, troubleshooting, laboratory investigations, compliance related activities, audit observations, continuous improvement activities and Lean Six Sigma/Operational Excellence activities. Laboratory system support (e.g. Maintain reference standards, retention samples, vendor certification, Training system, HPLC & GC columns, Co-ordinate evacuations, shower checks, self-inspections, Quality and Safety inspections. Performing data trending. Knowledge and experience of e-systems for data reporting (e.g LIMS, Empower, Trackwise etc. Education and Experience. Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related Scientific discipline with industry experience required in analytical methods and techniques. Method Validation, HPLC and GC proficiency essential. Recognised LSS Qualification (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt) desirable. Individual who wants to progress in their technical abilities and get into a leadership/managment when the time is right!
