A Health Safety & Environmental Officer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Co Limerick based electronics manufacturing client. Reporting into the HR Manager, this role has responsibility to develop policies and ensure all operations are fully compliant with regulations. Please contact Diarmuid Buckley for full details. THE ROLE: * Co-ordinate HSE activities to ensure continued compliance to environmental, health and safety management systems. * Work closely with management to set HSE objectives and targets. * Manage the risk assessment review process and support Organisational leaders to develop improvement programs to reduce risks. * Monitoring adherence to the stated policy through the conduct of EHS audits and inspections as appropriate with a view to improving the overall standard and quality of the safety/environmental system. * Develop accident reduction and prevention programmes, which ensure compliance with the continuous improvement element of the H&S policy. * Design, Plan, conduct and/or co-ordinate appropriate Environmental, Health and safety training programs in line with existing training function. * Review Emergency Response procedures and organize fire evacuations. * Work closely with the Manufacturing and Engineering Teams to ensure that new design and line changes are compliant with H&S requirements. * Prepare and present end of quarter results to Management Team. REQUIREMENTS: * Diploma/degree in Health & Safety with relevant Environmental training. * 3 years relevant experience in developing the health safety & environmental role within the existing management structure & driving change processes. * Be an excellent communicator with strong influencing skills.
