Opportunity. As part of our operational excellence strategy,we now wish to recruit an experiencedOperations Manager. This key role will be based in our Limerick distribution facility. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will be a key member of our Management Team.The role holder willtake full responsibility for company operations from boththestrategic andtheoperational perspectiveinourdynamic 24/7 business,364 days of the year. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an established Operations Manager looking to develop their career in a progressive and entrepreneurial environment, or for an ambitious and motivated operations professional with the right level of experience who wants their first stand-alone head of operations position. The successful candidate must have a strong track record of achievement in a fast-moving warehousing / production /logisticsrelated environment and be both financially and commercially astute. Responsibilities. The specificresponsibilitiesof the rolewill include: Leading, developing and inspiringateam in support ofthe companyculture of growth and continuous improvement, ensuring a positive and engaged teamiscommitted to delivering market leading excellence forallcustomers; Maximising the service, cost and quality performance of the site operations by continually reviewing and improving all aspects of business operations processes and team competencies; Achieving agreed budgets and profit performance targets, including P&L targets on a weekly and monthly basis through agreed KPIs and maximising operations efficiency; Managingand supportingan effective business planning process, aligning procurement and inventory management with production and distribution activities to drive excellence in service levels; Supportingand driving aquality-focusedculture. Ensure the highest quality of goods procured, received, stored and transferred internally and the quality of finished goods stored, transferred and delivered externally toallcustomers; ImplementingLean warehouse practices, including live inventory management controls to ensure quality, efficiency, safety and security is to the fore always; Communicatingand liaising effectively with all business departments and across all shifts. Managingall aspects of health and safety across the business operations; Ensuringconsistent operationalbest practice on food safety in full compliance with Food Safety /ISO 22000 internationalHACCPstandard. Candidate. The successful candidate will likely display the following attributes: Effective communicator with excellent relationship building/management skills - a positive and effective influencer- a “people person”; Entrepreneurialwith the commercial rigour and determination to solve problems, delight customers and deliver to tight deadlines and budgets; Innovative, analytical and with ademonstrabletrack record of implementing positive change and process improvement; A natural planner who candemonstrate robust critical thinking, prioritising and project management capability. Well-rounded administrative, financial and operational skills gained through direct FMCGor Food sectorexperience; Understands processes, logical and a systematic problem solver who will develop and implement new initiatives to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase performance acrossallbusiness operations; Highly adaptable and able to prioritise involvement in a varied range of tasks to meet tight deadlines; Can demonstrate a proven history ofprofessionalachievement and success. Essential Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of 7 years industry experience in a food distribution or FMCG Supplier environment with recent experience in an Operations Management role; Demonstrated financial and commercial acumenwith a proventrack record of achievement in a previous similar position; Proficient in Microsoft NAV or equivalent ERP system and excellent capability with MS Office, Excel; Appropriate education- a relevant degree is desirable but not essential provided thetraining and qualifications in disciplines relevant to this rolesuch asSupplyChain, Lean Operations,People Management,ComplianceStandards andotherbest practices have been attained.
