Our client is the world's largest producer of a number of speciality pharmaceutical products and employs 10,000 staff globally. They operate a manufacturing facility in Wicklow and are at start-up phase, expanding heavily across the business and I am working closely with the hiring manager on a number of new technical positions for the site to support their growth. The Position. Reporting into the Site Head you will be responsible for the following: To support process & facility start-up initiatives at the new facility. To assist with technology transfer of processes, including process fit, identification of equipment needs, and facility modifications. To collaborate closely with Operations colleagues in the preparation of Master Batch Records and execution of process HAZOPs for tech transfer of processes. Use technical knowledge in chemical engineering unit operations. To conduct laboratory experiments to generate technical data to support scale-up and implementation of processes into manufacturing. Based on needs, develop and introduce new chemical engineering techniques, methods and laboratory scale technologies to the GMT laboratories. To collect and analyse technical data, generate reports including conclusions and recommendations where needed. To serve on co-development teams and support transfer of new chemical entities. The Person. In order to be considered you must possess the following: A BSc / MSc / PhD in Chemistry or related. 3 -5 years' experience in a technical role in the API industry sector.
