Embedded Software Engineer. Permanent. Cork. Role Responsibilities: Be a leading part of our Development Team in producing the next generation blood-monitoring device. Work with the multidisciplinary teams to develop software and embedded. Support all teams in problem solving, data analysis, prototyping and software and hardware maintenance of same, Develop and maintain software such that they can be reused in applications (embedded & desktop. Assist in the design, development, and manufacture of control systems for the electronic, photonic, incubation and motor sub-modules, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: Primary Degree in a relevant discipline, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of relevant industrial experience (may include a postgraduate degree), Expert knowledge of C and ++ experience in embedded and desktop applications. Ability to design, prototype and build complex functional systems or prototypes. Good understanding of statistics and statistical analysis tools. Experience with Linux and development of embedded Linux devices. Experience of writing firmware for microcontrollers. Development in Matlab (curve fitting, statistical analysis) and LabVIEW. Board-to-board communications. Experience of ISO13485 requirements and Design Control would be an advantage, This role may require occasional national and/or international travel.
